Can agave replace maple syrup?

Yes you can replace maple syrup with agave but agave is sweeter so use less. Also I like the maple flavor with the cashews, and agave is not as unrefined as one might think.

bryant terry in his peaches and cashew cream recipe in vegan soul food cooking...says to soak the cashews overnight in water....seems to make a thick creme of a different sort...but tasty, too. hope that cynthia got some new batteries in her fan! and ditto on why does jane have vanilla in her purse???

Fruit is the standard dessert at our house. This nut cream will be a must-try as soon as I get home. Currently at my folk's house near Seattle. Hi Cynthia! :)

We've made this several times the past few weeks with some fruit variations depending on what is in our CSA box. Fast & delicious every time!!!
